MOBA (Motor Breakdown Assistance), a subsidiary of M&M Group of Companies, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our roadside rescue service or this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Information we collect
When you contact MOBA or book a service we collect your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, and the location you share with us. When you use our SOS button we collect GPS coordinates from your device, only at the moment you press the button. When you pay through Paystack we do not store your card details. Paystack handles all card data under PCI DSS Level 1 compliance.
2. How we use information
We use your data to dispatch responders to you, confirm and process payments, communicate the status of your job, follow up on service quality, send membership renewals, and improve our operations. We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
3. Who we share with
We share the minimum necessary data with: the responder assigned to your job (your name, phone and location), Paystack (for payment processing), our partner workshops if you authorise a tow, and Nigerian regulators where law requires it. All partners are bound by confidentiality.
4. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses essential cookies to keep the site working and a small set of analytics cookies to understand which pages help drivers most. You can disable non essential cookies in your browser without losing access to our service.
5. Data retention
We keep job records for seven years to meet Nigerian tax and consumer protection requirements. You may request earlier deletion of marketing data at any time by emailing us.
6. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you have the right to access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion (subject to legal retention), and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To exercise any right, email help@moba.ng.
7. Security
We use TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls for our dispatch systems, and routine staff training. No system is perfectly secure but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.
8. Children
Our service is for adult drivers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be emailed to active members.
